How to set up the Now Playing overlay
Setting up the Now Playing overlay:
The Now Playing overlay can be set up in 2 ways. For free Pixel Chat accounts you can set it up using Last.FM, However Pixel Pro accounts can link spotify directly to Pixel Chat, and get a couple extra features like the ability to show the track play head.
The very first step to setting up the Now Playing overlay is to create a Last.FM account. Last.FM is a site that is designed to track the music that you play, from pretty much any music streaming service. We use this data from Last.FM to display your current song on stream.
Setting up Spotify With Last.FM
To get started, simply click here and sign in / make an account.
Once you have made an account you will be brought to a page that looks like this:

Click the big red "Connect" button next to the "Spotify Scrobbling" label.
Once you have linked Spotify you're good to go! Head back to the Now Playing overlay's edit page, and type in your Last/FM username in the corresponding setting
(Note: When you first link Spotify to Last.FM it may take 1 full song play through before Last.FM will start picking up on new tracks)
Setting up Spotify with Pixel Pro
IMPORTANT: You MUST be a Pixel Pro member to use the Spotify integration.
To start setting up the Now Playing overlay with the direct Spotify integration, go to your Profile Page and click the Link Spotify button.

Next you'll want to go to the edit page of your now playing overlay and scroll to the bottom. Under the account section you will see a Mode drop down. Click this and switch it to Spotify

That's it! If you would like to show the Playhead, you can toggle that option in the Other section like so:

Note that this option will ONLY show up if your Mode is set to Spotify and if the Stay Open All The Time option is toggled on.
Setting up for other streaming services
LastFM has a bunch of great tools/tutorials for setting up other streaming services that can be found Here
Once you have set up any of those Scrobblers, you're good to go! Head back to the Now Playing overlay's edit page, and type in your Last/FM username in the corresponding setting
